Living The Dream
So I put a post up a few weeks back about living your dream. and I wanted to reiterate that a bit.
The past about 4 months I have cut a lot of people out of my life. Have lost some friends, gained some new ones, lost money, made money; and just about everything in between. But this roller coaster has been nothing but fun, exciting, and so worth it. I have been living my dreams. Over the past few months I have gone on small spot tours with various artists, worked with Monarchy learning more fashion things and how to run a successful fashion company. And now have teamed up with Karwerkz Automotive Spa, to bring my dream of automotive enthusiasm to fruition. Its been a long hard journey and it is no where near completion or on cruising speeds. But Very well on the right track.
All I can ask of you is- Are you living your dream are you passionate about what you do? If you do not try failing you will always wonder if you could have made it and always wished i shoulda coulda woulda.
LIVING THE DREAM
On the way in to Monarchy today I saw a billboard with a picture of Kobe saying… Living the Dream – That’s so LA. and I thought to myself. How many people are here in this world living day to day and are not happy with their situation. They are still dreaming and not doing, or they missed their window of opportunity and their dream has been lost into the abyss of day to day trials. I can honestly say while I do not have all the money in the world or all of the material things people measure you by. I feel like I am living my dream and it keeps growing and getting better everyday; that I work hard grow and learn to make myself better. I am a touring musician where doors are opening up constantly. While I also intern at a great company where I am learning how to approach and operate business, networking, management and most of all marketing. I say all of that to strike up a chord, a process of thought. Are you in fact living your dream?

My Life @ Monarchy
So I have been here at Monarchy Collection for a few months now. Which is crazy in itself I never thought I would be here learning so much and so many things. So i decided to start writing and blogging about it. This is My journey to learn, to reach my dreams and to just have fun with a new experience in life. In order to make things Great Happen in one’s life you have to dive deep sacrifice some things and learn from those willing to teach you. Most of all you have to STAY FOOLISH AND STAY HUNGRY. Because if you no longer have the hunger for your dreams and you allow your ego and whatever else get in the way then you are setting yourself up for failure. So I am taking that to heart. I am staying foolish in the sense of being ambitious in the things that I desire and I am staying hungry to see them through. I cannot be more grateful then to this company to give me this opportunity.
So to share my excitement. I will be blogging about what it takes to be a designer, marketing guru, President, shipping and recieving personel in a strong, trend setting unique company. Along with all the things That I am learning, how I am growing, and the sacrifice it takes to reach the top.
Keep a look out for daily blogs about news, fashion shows, what we do here, weekly reviews on Clothing we have and where you can find and purchase them, Interviews with the people who make up the fabric of this company and hold the vision along with some give aways here and there. If you have questions, ideas, or want to see something let us know. So stay tuned and keep an Eye out. It is Going to be a great ride.

February 14th was the day for Monarchy to show up at New York Fashion week and show the world that we are more than your average run of the mill denim company. In the past four years monarchy has gone against the grain to craft out its own trend and niche in the premium clothing market. Monarchy is probably best known for its denim – flapped pocket designs with very distinctive washes and good fitments. But they are much more than that and they definitely sought to see that the world knew that Monarchy was more a collection and a line and not just a denim company in this NYC Fashion Show. For quite a while Monarchy has come with edgy denim, button ups, trend setting destructed t-shirts, eye catching jackets, scarves, belts and even watches. And I can honestly say the quality is quite impressive and the uniqueness is definitely there. So with a track record of eye catching against the grain designs, Eric Kim and the design team at Monarchy once again came with pieces to lust after, my favorite being a camel colored leather Jacket; That is definitely a “must have” piece. Check out pics below, for some of my favorite designs that were displayed at the show.

THE LOOK
Every week we are going to feature some of the pieces in the Monarchy Collection Line, some of the stuff you might see me where out and about or up on stage. All unique pieces that will definately keep you standing out and looking good in the sea of same old run of the mill denim lines.
This week I pulled a casual rockstar type look for this weekend since I was rocking out at So. Cal Rocks music fest this weekend. We started With the Read Leather Jacket, A scarf to keep the vocals warm, button ups, and a flapless pocket jean.
Ceremonial Leather Jacket
This Jacket is an absoulutely hard find, but if you can track one down it will keep you warm and have you looking good . Soft “leather” actually it is polyurethane with a polyester lining. So it is durable, comfortable and you can wash the dang thing. Included is a nifty hood that pops out the collar to shield you from the elements. This is definately the jacket MJ wish he had in thriller. What I like about this Jacket is that its not too cumbersome. Light enough for every day use and thick enough to keep you warm and comfortable in a wide range of temperatures. Fit is slim and true not baggy nor corset type. Feels Good and it is probably my favorite Jacket. As of Right now They Only Come in Red, but later in the year will be offered in Black and Brown.

The Word of the Day for April 14, 2009 is:
dyed-in-the-wool • \dyde-in-thuh-WOOL\
• adjective
- : thoroughgoing, uncompromising
Example Sentence:
Having heard that Gloria’s father was a dyed-in-the-wool Republican, Stewart told him about the time he met Ronald Reagan.
Did you know?
Early yarn makers would dye wool before spinning it into yarn to make the fibers retain their color longer. In 16th-century England, that make-it-last coloring practice provoked writers to draw a comparison between the dyeing of wool and the way children could, if taught early, be influenced in ways that would adhere throughout their lives. In the 19th-century U.S., the wool-dyeing practice put eloquent Federalist orator Daniel Webster in mind of a certain type of Democrat whose attitudes were as unyielding as the dye in unspun wool. Of course, Democrats were soon using the term against their opponents, too, but over time the partisanship of the expression faded and it is now a general term for anyone or anything that seems unlikely or unwilling to change.
TALIBAN SCARF
Moving on to the Neck Tie area. I pulled the Taliban Scarf in white and Olive. Not a big scarf guy but Im guilty I would definately walk around in it. It did in fact keep the neck area warm in this “cold” California Climate and it breathed well so it was not choking me out while I was doing my normal day to day activities. These scarves are multi-functional. You can wrap them up around your dome hence the word Taliban, or drape them around your neck for that I look good Approach. Whichever your style You can definately use the taliban Scarf to add punch to the look. The Taliban Scarf comes in a plethora of colors from all black to all white with accents in between such as gray, olive, white, etc.

Honoris Long Sleeve Button Up
I have this shirt in Every color available and I love it. The cool thing about it is not only the detail and the fit. but I DO NOT HAVE TO IRON IT. Because I hate ironing so very much. This shirt fits perfect making it appear to be made for me by a tailor. Short enough to display the pockets of your jean and long enough to keep the plumbers crack dilemma far far away. This shirt is Very comfortable and being made of 100% cotton is not hot nor itchy. One of my favorite features is the convertible type sleeves. There are two buttons on each sleeve around the bicep area that when you roll your sleeves up you can tie the sleeve back so they will not fall down and you have to fuss with them while doing what you have to do. Making it a 2 in 1 shirt – short sleeve for the more casual look and long sleeve to dress it up a bit. The detail on this shirt is actually quite impressive to think that people designed it this way all the way to actually manufacturing it. From the destructed shirt tails, and Embroidered “M” logo down to the buttons and the embroiderie on the back this shirt is definately a good Look. This shirt comes In Olive, Black, White and Grey from Small to Triple- X.
