February 14th was the day for Monarchy to show up at New York Fashion week and show the world that we are more than your average run of the mill denim company. In the past four years monarchy has gone against the grain to craft out its own trend and niche in the premium clothing market. Monarchy is probably best known for its denim – flapped pocket designs with very distinctive washes and good fitments. But they are much more than that and they definitely sought to see that the world knew that Monarchy was more a collection and a line and not just a denim company in this NYC Fashion Show. For quite a while Monarchy has come with edgy denim, button ups, trend setting destructed t-shirts, eye catching jackets, scarves, belts and even watches. And I can honestly say the quality is quite impressive and the uniqueness is definitely there. So with a track record of eye catching against the grain designs, Eric Kim and the design team at Monarchy once again came with pieces to lust after, my favorite being a camel colored leather Jacket; That is definitely a “must have” piece.
